Introducing RFC Freedom Books — Our New Book Publishing Imprint

We are proud to unveil RFC Freedom Books, the official publishing imprint of the Redefining Freedom Center of Virginia. Our new book imprint logo—an elegant red, white, and blue watercolor design featuring the letters RFC above an open book—captures the heart of our mission: knowledge, civic courage, and the enduring promise of American freedom.Books by RFC Freedom Books will be available worldwide through Ingram Collective/IngramSparks' extensive distribution network, reaching readers, universities, libraries, and institutions across the globe. We are thrilled to announce that our inaugural title, Redefining Freedom: Thoughts on Bridging Divides & Renewing the American Promise at 250, will be released in April 2026. Written by award-winning American author and journalist, Sophia A. Nelson, Esq. This specialty hardcover current-affairs work will serve as a signature contribution to the America250 national conversation—offering a powerful, hopeful, deeply personal reflection on what freedom must mean now, if it is to endure for the next generation. The book further explores how we reclaim moral clarity, rebuild civic courage, and rise above the political, cultural, and racial divides that threaten our national fabric. It is a call to unity, a reminder of our shared promise, and an invitation to all Americans to help shape the next chapter of our democracy.

A New Platform for Voices That Matter

Starting in 2028, RFC Freedom Books will publish an ongoing slate of authors whose ideas align with the imprint’s mission and the Center’s vision. Additional titles and authors will be announced as we acquire works. This imprint is more than a publishing initiative—it is an investment in the intellectual, moral, and civic infrastructure that America needs now. We are honored to take this step, and we look forward to the voices, ideas, and conversations RFC Freedom Books will bring into the world.Freedom is our inheritance.
Redefining it is our responsibility.RFC Freedom Books
is our home for bold, principled, non-partisan works of current affairs, democracy, culture, and civic life. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, this imprint positions us to publish original, independent, and unfiltered voices dedicated to bridging divides and strengthening our democratic promise. In a moment when independent media is increasingly driving honest, non-partisan, non-corporate journalism, the publishing world is no exception. For more than 50 years, Ingram has been the backbone of independent publishing—one of the largest and most trusted wholesale distributors of books in the world, with an unparalleled global reach. Through IngramSpark, authors, scholars, and organizations are able to publish high-quality, professionally distributed works without the gatekeeping, corporate bias, or editorial censorship that often shapes traditional publishing. That freedom matters to us.It is precisely why the Redefining Freedom Center created RFC Freedom Books—our own current-affairs, non-fiction, historical books imprint. We wanted a publishing home that reflects our values, protects our independence, and allows us to bring forward the voices America needs most as we approach the 250th anniversary of the republic. And long after the celebrations for America 250 have ended.
